This project involved the widening of Mentor Avenue (U.S. 20) to accommodate a center 2-way left turn lane between Center Street (S.R. 615) and Murray Avenue. It also added a second left turn lane at the S.R. 615 intersection for westbound traffic heading southbound in the City of Mentor. The project is located in a very urban setting with historical obstacles, sensitive real estate issues, access management problems and major utility concerns. This was an LPA project and was administered by a sub-consultant for ODOT and the City of Mentor. The project included 30 parcels and has a total construction cost of $2.3 million.
