PER-13-19.64 Bridge Replacement
The PER-13-19.64 project involved the replacement of the existing concrete arch/slab bridge carrying SR 13 / SR 37 over Shady Creek in the Village of New Lexington. The existing structure was replaced with a precast concrete box culvert, providing comparable hydraulic performance while simplifying long-term maintenance. Roadway improvements were limited to necessary approach tie-ins following culvert installation.
Given the location adjacent to the SR 13/SR 37 intersection, a combination of short-term detours and temporary signals was used to maintain traffic during construction. As part of the project, access to the adjacent Dairy Queen was enhanced by establishing a designated entrance and exit farther from the intersection, improving both safety and circulation.
The project was successfully completed on-time and under budget. 2LMN earned an impressive 91% Consultant Evaluation Score (CES) from ODOT for our performance.
